If you want tow your boat on public streets in order to reach a distant winter storage on a farm, e.g., you will need a trailer with an offical approval. In additon to the basic fittings of the 6 km/h trailers, the 25 km/h trailers have the following fittings:

o A main brake and a fixing brake
o Extendible and removable lighting equipment incl. cables
o A removable towing bar with support wheel
o A general operating licence according to § 21 StVZO (Highway Code)

These trailers are licence-free, do not need their own registration plates and have an operating licence according to § 21 StVZO (Highway Code) already ex works. It is not necessary to present the trailer at the TÜV (MOT) again.

Except for these additional fittings, all features of the 6 km/h-trailers also apply to the 25 km/h-trailers.
